The Office of the Provost, in partnership with the School of Education, is pleased to announce an internal campus search for a tenured faculty member to serve as the faculty director of the Morgridge Center for Public Service.
The Morgridge Center for Public Service advances the Wisconsin Idea by promoting and supporting civic engagement activities, strengthening teaching and learning, and facilitating collaborative University-community partnerships through public service, academic service-learning, community-based research, and engaged scholarship.
Professor Kathy Cramer, who has very ably served as the Faculty Director of the Morgridge Center since May 2014, has indicated her plans to return to full-time faculty duties at the end of this fall semester. We are grateful for her leadership and service in this important role, and we hope to fill the position with a successor who will continue to champion academic service-learning and community engagement initiatives with Kathy’s astute vision and positive energy.
The search committee intends to appoint a new director by early in the spring semester. View the complete position description. The appointment percentage for this position is negotiable. For full consideration, applications should be received by January 5, 2018.
Nominations can be sent to the search committee at MCDirectorSearch@provost.wisc.edu, as soon as possible. Applications will be submitted online through jobs.wisc.edu (Click on “Internal” and sign in with NetID in order to access this job posting and application instructions.).
Questions may be directed to Steve Ventura (sventura@wisc.edu) and/or Mo Bischof (mo.bischof@wisc.edu), co-chairs of the committee.
