Areas of Responsibility

As executive associate vice provost for teaching and learning, Wren Singer leads the Division for Teaching and Learning. The division is home to 10 units and engages with partners across campus to advance student success, teaching, service and research. At its core, the division works to ensure that every UW–Madison student finds inclusive learning environments that make possible the personal and intellectual growth promised by the Wisconsin Experience.

In her role, Wren partners closely with divisional leadership, as well as leaders in schools, colleges, departments and programs across campus.

Biography

Prior to her current role, Wren served as the founding director of the Office of Undergraduate Advising (now the Office of Academic and Career Success), leading the units that provide undergraduate advising, career services and learning support. She has also served as the director of Campus and Visitor Relations, the assistant dean and director of the Center for the First-Year Experience, and the associate dean for Student Academic Affairs in the College of Letters and Science. She received her BA in English and Psychology, MS in Counseling in Higher Education, and PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from UW–Madison.
