Areas of Responsibility

Sarah Barber leads a portfolio of projects and initiatives that cut across the academic and administrative realms. Barber oversees cross-campus coordination and process design to enhance the operational effectiveness of the academic enterprise and support key initiatives.

Biography

Barber has worked in higher education for over 20 years in administrative leadership, academic affairs, and student services positions. At UW-Madison, she played a key role in transforming Summer Term, she worked closely with students as an academic dean, and most recently, served as chief of staff to the Senior Vice Provost and Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning. Barber earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from the University of Michigan and Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
