UW-Madison Collaborative for Advancing Teaching and Learning

The UW-Madison Collaborative for Advancing Teaching and Learning brings together seven previously independent units into one organization. The collaborative will provide new opportunities for cross-campus collaborations, strategic approaches to campus teaching and learning, more integrated professional development for faculty, staff and graduate students, programming to support learning within and beyond the classroom, and a coordinated administrative structure for units currently scattered across campus.

Goals of the Teaching and Learning Collaborative

  • Align and connect teaching and learning professional development activities for faculty, staff and graduate students to leverage effort and resources, and to maximize impact
  • Contribute to a systems approach to building excellence and innovation in teaching and learning
  • Provide expertise concerning the state-of-the-art in teaching and learning, and facilitate the adoption of evidence-based best practices
