The Office of the Provost provides the guiding vision and framework for the overall academic leadership and administrative management of the university. Our mission is to administer programs and policies that benefit academic staff, faculty and students, and to foster collaborations among campus colleagues that will enhance and broaden academic life at the University. Campus Sustainability Initiative

The Sustainability Initiative was launched by the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Administration in early 2010. It is chosen as one of two interdisciplinary, university-wide initiatives in areas of campus strength and societal need that also integrate research, education, policy and action. Madison Initiative for Undergraduates

Preserving and improving the quality of the institution by increasing student access to key courses and majors; introducing curricular and pedagogical change; improving vital student services; and enhancing access and affordability.
